Sustainable Haiti and the Black-capped Petrel

Donate

Join us in conserving the iconic Black-capped Petrel seabird while working with the people of Haiti to farm more sustainably and to spread the word of their success throughout the world.

Among the most endangered seabirds in the Caribbean, the Black-capped Petrel's population has been reduced to less than 2,000 nesting pairs worldwide. Threatened by habitat destruction and the introduction of predators, the fate of the Petrel is uncertain. If not for the significant efforts of EPIC’s team, our partners from around the world and the farmers of Boukan Chat, Haiti, where the only known nests can be found, this beautiful and unique bird may join the list of extinct species.

Help us reach our annual $10,000 goal to support research, expeditions, sustainable farming, education and storytelling through film in Haiti and throughout the Caribbean today.
